René Nourse, CFP®, is the Founder/Chief Executive Officer, Wealth Advisor. After 25 years as a financial advisor in the corporate world, René left a major firm in June 2012 to launch Urban Wealth Management Group.
She is a frequent guest speaker and contributor on the topic of women and finance and is also recognized as a trailblazer and financial expert. René sensed that a shift was taking place in the financial services industry. Her intention was to build a platform that focused on strategic financial planning alongside investment management to better serve clients. But it was her personal experience, her mom’s challenges in her life, and her passing in 2017 that truly inspired her to focus the practice on supporting the needs of women. The longer she was in the business, the more she realized that women were being overlooked and underserved.
The fact is that the majority of financial advisors are men and don’t realize the importance of engaging the wives, significant others or even other female family members in the investment and financial guidance process. Women were not being serviced appropriately, so she initiated a platform to focus on the special needs of women.
René discusses the unique challenges that women who are often multitasking with careers and family face and how women are leveraging resources, finances, and wealth by making friends with their assets.

Dr. Loren M. Hill is a licensed clinical psychologist and successful entrepreneur. Additionally, Dr. Hill is an experienced academician with several faculty and administrative positions in academia. She is an American Psychological Association Feminist Academic Leadership Academy Fellow, RAND Corporation Faculty Workshop in Policy Research and Analysis Fellow, and a member of Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology. Dr. Hill is the Resident Psychologist for the Urban Family Focus Weekly show on KBLA Talk Radio.
